ZEBEDEEa bitcoin-only fintech infrastructure provider for the gaming industry, has partnered with mobile game studio VIKER to enable play to earn bitcoin rewards on three classic video games, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine.
Solitaire, Sudoku, and Missing Letters will all provide bitcoin rewards on the Lightning Network through ZEBEDEE’s mobile app. No technical knowledge of bitcoin, wallets, or any other piece of ecosystem infrastructure is required to earn bitcoin rewards from these games, as ZEBEDEE’s app handles everything under the hood for its users. Players can withdraw their bitcoin rewards from the app or spend the money through ZEBEDEE’s virtual economy.
“There’s no better way to introduce next-gen Play-and-Earn mechanics to a wide audience of gamers than to take the games people already know and love and refresh them with Bitcoin, so transparent and discreet,” said Simon Cowell, CEO of ZEBEDEE. , according to the press release. “We’ve seen this work with a wide range of games on our platform, but this new list of integrations is even more significant, as these titles have seen virtually no meaningful innovation for many years.”
VIKER is a longtime partner of ZEBEDEE. The two companies previously worked together to bring bitcoin rewards to Wheel of Trivia, Amazeballs, and Balls King. The success of these games incorporating bitcoin rewards has encouraged a similar approach with these more classic games with the intention of capturing a wider audience.
“With more than a third of the world’s population identifying as a gamer – whether behind the controller, keyboard or phone – there’s no limit to what this innovative partnership has yet to do” , Cowell said.
Recently, ZEBEDEE has been supported by AAA game studio Square Enix Entertainment.
